Welcome to

Introduction from Chairman, Geoff Maginess

We are a group, predominantly but not exclusively, of retired and semi-retired professionals and businessmen who meet on alternate Tuesday mornings.

Geoff Maginess, Timperley Probus

We meet at 10.00am for Coffee and Biscuits and after a chance to socialise there is a talk by an invited speaker at 10.30am.  This normally lasts about an hour after which there is time for questions.  The talks cover a wide variety of interesting subjects and topics as you can see from the list of past talks on the List of Speakers page.

On alternate Wednesdays members meet for a sociable lunch at a suitable venue and on Monday and Thursday mornings members play bowls in the summer and snooker in the winter.  There are organised visits to many places of interest over the year and there are a number of annual lunches.  These are also all available to members’ wives, partners and friends.

We are a friendly club and welcome new members, so if you would like to come to a meeting as our guest without charge or obligation then you are invited to do so for the first two meetings.  If you are interested please contact the club secretary David Owen on 0161 973 9648 or via email dglentonowen@gmail.com

We celebrated our 25th year anniversary in 2022 and previously met at Branksome Hall, Clay Lane, Timperley.

Due to the Hall's redevelopment, however, we have now moved to Timperley Sports Club, Stockport Road, Timperley.
